Fish Met (Metronidazole) is antibacterial medication used to
control and treat bacterial infections such as eye infection,
fin or tail rot, skin ulcerations, pop-eye, columnaris disease,
and gill disease. It also works against gram-positive and some
gram-negative bacteria, including Aeromonas, Pseudomonas,
and Mycobacteriaby using bactericidal action while additionally
controlling some parasitic diseases.
Active Ingredients: Metronidazole 500mg (each capsule)
Dosage & Administration:
Add the contents of one capsule (500mg) per 10 gallons of
water directly into tank.
(Seperate hospital tank is recommended.)
Continue treatment every other day for a full 5 days, with a
minimum of 3 treatments recommended. To avoid stress to
the fish due to oxygen depletion during treatment, use
continuous filtration but remove carbon from the filter so
as to not remove medication from water.
